At Wondrhost, the security of your account, your hosted data, and your domain names is our highest priority. Because web hosting accounts control sensitive digital assets, they are frequent targets for unauthorized access, social engineering, and identity theft.
To protect our customers from fraudulent profile modifications and domain hijacking, certain critical profile fields within your Wondrhost Client Area are locked. All requests to update this locked profile information are subject to a mandatory, manual identity verification process (KYC) by our Security Team.
Before any profile changes can be approved, you must submit a formal request via our Profile Update module in your client area, providing the applicable verification documents and explicitly stating the new details you wish to apply.
Depending on the information you wish to update, you will be required to provide specific documentation. All documents must be clear, high-resolution, and uncropped.
Lost Access to Registered Email?
If you have lost access to your registered email address and cannot log in, the recovery process is strictly enforced. You must provide a clear photo of yourself holding your Government-issued ID next to your face (a "selfie with ID"), along with proof of payment for the most recent invoice on the account. Wondrhost reserves the right to deny access if ownership cannot be definitively proven.
Identity verification is not limited to profile updates. Wondrhost utilizes automated fraud screening systems (such as MaxMind) during the checkout process. You may be asked to complete identity verification before a new order is provisioned if our system flags the transaction.
Common triggers for mandatory order verification include:
If you have domain names registered through Wondrhost, updating your profile information has legal implications governed by ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).
The 60-Day Transfer Lock
Updating the First Name, Last Name, Organization, or Email Address associated with a domain name constitutes a "Change of Registrant" under ICANN rules. Doing so will automatically place a 60-day transfer lock on the domain. During this 60-day period, the domain cannot be transferred to another registrar. Please consider this before requesting a profile update if you plan to transfer a domain soon.
Please note that updating a profile name to a completely different individual or a different corporate entity constitutes an Account Ownership Transfer, not a simple profile update.
Account transfers require a formal process. Both the current account owner and the new proposed owner must submit a signed authorization ticket, and both parties must complete the identity verification process outlined in Section 2. Wondrhost reserves the right to refuse an account transfer if we suspect fraud or if the account has outstanding unpaid invoices.
By submitting documents for verification, you agree to the following conditions:
Data Privacy & Security of Your Documents
We understand that the documents requested are highly sensitive. Your identity documents are transmitted over a secure, encrypted connection. They are reviewed strictly by authorized Security personnel for the sole purpose of verifying your identity. Once your identity has been verified and the profile update is complete, your submitted ID documents are permanently deleted from our system to protect your privacy.
To initiate a profile update, please follow these steps:
This verification process is implemented to safeguard your account and maintain a secure hosting environment for all Wondrhost customers. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
